In 2008, an updated 9PA1 (957) turbo model with a larger 4.8-ltr engine was unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show. This version delivers 500PS (368kW; 493 hp), offering increased power, and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 4.9 seconds. Alongside the new Turbo, Porsche also introduced a new Turbo S model boasting 550 hp (410 kW). Accelerating from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in just 4.7 seconds, this variant offers optional ceramic composite brakes.
The Porsche Cayenne is a series of luxury crossover SUVs manufactured by the German company Porsche since 2002. Described as both a full-sized and a mid-sized vehicle, the first generation was known internally as the Type 9PA (955/957) or E1. It marked Porsche's return to V8 engines after the discontinuation of the Porsche 928 in 1995 and was the company's first off-road variant since the Super and Junior tractors of the 1950s. It also became Porsche's first four-door model.
Since 2014, the Cayenne has been sold alongside the smaller Porsche SUV, the Macan.
