Are you experiencing smoking on start up after your turbo sits for extended periods of time? Odds are you are experiencing what is commonly referred to as oil back flow.
The problem arises from the use of low viscosity oil and the upgraded oil filter cut off mechanism not working as it should. So, you get a slow stream of engine oil which leads to overflow of the oil catch tanks on the turbochargers (pressure side).
If your leaking is due to this reason, our FVD pressure side oil backflow kit incorporates check valves that will prevent the oil from overflowing in the catch tanks and will ultimately stop the smoking on start up.

The factory Y pipe becomes restrictive when adding substantial power gains. The IPD "Y" Pipe has larger inlets and an optimized diversion area allowing for even greater power gains. This superior and more efficient design flows 126 more cfm than the factory Y pipe delivering the additional power needed to raise the performance bar on any Turbo.
Bigger isn't always better, and the IPD "Y" Pipe is designed to deliver optimum flow without being too large causing a loss in boost response. These "Y" Pipes can also be special ordered in custom powder coated colors and ceramic coatings or polished to improve the aesthetic appeal of your Turbo engine.
The IPD 997 Turbo Y Pipe is designed to be a direct replacement of the factory OEM Y Pipe. There are no modifications or fabrication required for installing the IPD Y Pipe. This is an easy and straight forward R & R (remove and reinstall) bolt on upgrade.

The 996 did not mark the beginning of a new Porsche chapter, it marked the beginning of a new Porsche book. The prolific 911 was baptized and emerged water cooled, leaving the legendary air cooled engine to live in Porsche history.
The total and complete redesign of the 911 engine was fitted with the vintage plastic "T" style air distributor that Porsche has used since the early 911 days. This intake system was found on virtually all 911 Carrera's until the arrival of the DFI cars in 2009.
The unique, innovative and patented design of the IPD Plenum employs a "Y" design that improves performance by channeling air left and right to the cylinder banks more efficiently. This design reduces air flow turbulence and increases air flow velocity resulting in substantial power gains throughout the entire rpm band.
The IPD plenum not only delivers impressive power and torque increases but also creates a more linear power and torque band. Tiptronic customers even claim considerable improvements with more positive shifting after installing the IPD Plenums.
Just like the Carrera S, it's difficult to find power for the naturally aspirated 3.4L Carrera, but the IPD Plenum does it better than any other after market mod available. This simple bolt on performance upgrade replaces the factory plastic air distributor with the IPD patented aluminum "Y" style Plenum.
The IPD Plenum delivers impressive horsepower gains of 25 and torque gains of 22 by means of a superior and more efficient design. These gains are mainly felt in the mid range where it is most needed and most enjoyed but performance improvements are realized throughout the entire rev range. Impressive Performance improvements like this will truly transform your Porsche driving experience.
These added power gains in the mid range create a more liner power curve helping to minimizing the dip in power typically experienced in the factory curve resulting in considerable performance improvements.
The 996 Plenum installation is a direct bolt on R & R (remove and reinstall) procedure. Installation is relatively straight forward for mechanically inclined DIY customers although IPD strongly recommends all Plenum installations be performed by a trained and qualified Porsche technician.
