The Tenax fastener stud acts as the fixed mounting point for Tenax snap fasteners used on convertible top covers or protective tonneau covers. When paired with the matching Tenax cap, it creates a secure locking system that holds fabric covers firmly in place while still allowing quick removal when needed.
Replacing worn or damaged studs restores the proper attachment points for convertible covers and helps maintain the original functionality and appearance of the vehicle’s roof system.
Function
• Convertible Cover Mounting: Provides anchor point for Tenax snap fasteners
• Secure Fastening: Keeps tonneau or roof covers firmly attached to the body
• Quick Release Design: Allows easy removal of covers when required
• Durability: Chrome-plated brass/steel construction resists corrosion and wear
Tenax studs are exposed to weather, repeated use and vibration. Over time they may corrode, loosen or become damaged, which can prevent convertible covers from fastening securely. Installing a new OE Match stud restores the original fastening system and ensures that covers remain securely attached while preserving the classic Porsche appearance.
Replace the Tenax fastener if you notice:
• Loose or missing convertible cover fasteners
