A Quick Look at Porsche
Porsche information on this page is based on details supplied by the manufacturer or distributor, plus any OE references provided with the parts.
Choosing the Right Fit for Your Porsche
Where Porsche is listed for Porsche, use the supplied model coverage and OE references to confirm suitability. Check details that commonly affect fitment such as model year, side/position, and connector type where relevant.
- Typical reasons people replace these parts include maintaining originality, keeping factory specification, and choosing the latest genuine revisions for peace of mind.
- Common real-world issues behind many Porsche repairs are age and mileage: oil leaks, cooling system fatigue, brake and suspension wear, corrosion and electrical faults from moisture or heat cycling.
- Before ordering, confirm part numbers against VIN or option/PR codes, especially for safety‑critical or complex components.
- When upgrading, decide whether you want pure originality or performance changes, as some aftermarket options may suit specific goals better than genuine.
- For bigger jobs, replace related seals, hardware and consumables at the same time to avoid repeat labour and compatibility issues.
- Where available, follow the manufacturer’s fitting and bedding‑in guidance to get the best performance and longevity.

Why Replace This Part?
Door mirror glass can become cracked, scratched, discoloured or delaminated over time. On dimmable mirror glass, the auto-dimming layer can also fail, causing stains, dark patches or poor visibility. Damaged or unclear mirror glass reduces rearward vision and can affect driver confidence and safety. Replacing it with a Genuine Porsche OE convex dimmable mirror glass restores the correct field of view, appearance and factory mirror function.
When to replace
• If the right mirror glass is cracked, broken or scratched
• If the glass is cloudy, stained or delaminated
• If the auto-dimming function no longer works correctly
• If visibility through the mirror is poor
• After impact damage to the exterior mirror
• During mirror housing repair or replacement
• When restoring the vehicle to original Porsche specification.
Where it fits on the car
This mirror glass fits in the right-hand exterior door mirror assembly. For left-hand-drive vehicles, this is typically the passenger-side mirror glass. Diagram ref no 19
This part fits in the engine cooling / oil cooler circuit. It is used as a control and regulating valve for the oil cooler coolant flow, helping manage the temperature relationship between the engine coolant system and engine oil cooler.
Functions
• Regulates coolant flow through the oil cooler circuit
• Helps control engine oil temperature during operation
• Supports correct thermal management of the engine and oil cooling system
• Helps the engine reach and maintain the correct operating temperature
• Assists with efficient cooling under load and warmer driving conditions
• Provides factory-correct control valve operation
• Helps maintain OE Porsche cooling system performance and reliability.
The oil cooler control and regulating unit is exposed to constant heat cycles, coolant flow and pressure changes. Over time, the valve or thermostat mechanism can stick, leak, fail internally or stop regulating flow correctly. A faulty unit may affect oil temperature control, cooling efficiency or engine warm-up behaviour. Replacing it with a Genuine Porsche OE control and regulating unit helps restore correct cooling system regulation and protects the engine by maintaining the intended oil and coolant temperature balance.
When to replace
• If the oil cooler control valve is leaking
• If there are fault codes or symptoms linked to coolant/oil temperature regulation
• If engine oil temperature is unstable or higher than expected
• If the engine is slow to warm up or cooling regulation is poor
• During oil cooler, coolant thermostat or cooling system repairs
• If the original unit is cracked, damaged or seized
• When replacing earlier superseded versions of the component.

Diagram ref no 29
This valve fits in the windscreen washer-fluid hose system, between the washer fluid supply and the windscreen washer jets. It is used as an inline check valve/connector in the front washer pipework and helps maintain correct fluid direction and hose routing.
The washer check valve can become blocked, brittle, cracked or internally worn over time. When it fails, the washer jets may respond slowly, spray weakly, leak fluid back through the line or stop delivering washer fluid correctly. Replacing the valve with a Genuine Porsche OE L-shape check valve helps restore correct washer-fluid flow and keeps the windscreen washer system operating as intended. This is especially important for safe visibility in poor weather or dirty road conditions.
When to replace:
• If the washer jets have delayed spray after activation
• If washer-fluid pressure is weak or inconsistent
• If fluid drains back from the washer lines
• If the original valve is cracked, brittle or leaking
• If the washer hose connection is loose or damaged
• During washer hose, washer jet or washer pump repairs
• When restoring the windscreen washer system to OE specification.
